Executive Profile
Earl Anthony Richards, CD, has been President of Airports Authority of Jamaica since 1998. He is also Chief Executive Officer of the NMIA Airports Limited (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airports Authority of Jamaica) since 2003.
He is a graduate of the University of Toronto (BASc.,1969), and the Mona School of Business (UWI, MBA, 1992). In 2002, he received the Order of Distinction - Commander Class (CD), for Public Service.
He has worked in various engineering capacities with Benghiat Associates (later ADeB Consultants) - Engineering Consultants (1969-1971), McMorris Sibley Robinson - Architects (1971-1973), Douglas Pearce Engineers Limited - Engineers and Contractors (1974). He later joined the National Development Agency as Project Manager, Project Director, and was its General Manager from 1977 to 1981.
Mr. Richards is a Registered Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers Registration Board (Jamaica). He is Chairman of the Board of Management of Shortwood Teachers' College and Board of Directors of the Shortwood Foundation. He is a member of the Board of Clarendon College (his alma mater), Jamaica Youth for Christ, Hands Across Jamaica for Righteousness (HANDS) and Ports Security Corps Limited.
Mr. Richards is the recent past President of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers. He has served on the Boards of several public and private companies, including the Jamaica Public Service Company, The Electricity Authority & the Rural Electrification Programme Limited, the National Water Authority and the Mona Institute of Business.
